DRS Designs Challenge 58-Torn paper

I am a few days late doing this challenge for DRS Designs.  None the less, it is one of my favorite things to do.  I chose to use the Silent Night Sheet music, Pinecone square and the new Silent NIght Greeting. I used mahogany and chocolate chip inks, vanilla and hazelnut tan paper.....In addition to the torn paper, I ran the papers through my mahogany ink pad. The brad is cool but unfortunately, it doesn't show up well...oh well. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.

Take care,

Pam

This month's New Stamp Set Releases are
Ivy & Blossoms Featured December 18

Recipe Card Featured December 20
Kilt Fun Featured December 21
My first card was super quick as it has been a long day.  I love how it turned out though!  I found the BG Nook and Pantry dp and went with this fun piece, stamped my border words and kitchen utensils in sage shadow and old olive, dragged the edge of border through old olive pad and glued it on.  I fussy cut my chef, popped him up and popped up the scallop circle, too. This is a fun set. The card below says Happy Birthday on the inside.  I love the font of this set!

Today I stamped my stack of coffee cups in versamark and embossed with pewter.  I colored them in with pale plum and fussy cut them out.  I LOVE the paper I decided on. I don't know the name of the edge punch but I had a happy accident....the remnants were glued to each cup.  I popped the cups up and the sentiment is from Ivy and Blooms and is popped as well.  Some organza and satin ribbon and we'll call it a day...oh, the brad was added, too.

Please be patient with me while I try to blog with a MAC instead of a PC (mine is kaput!) I used black to stamp the ivy and soft pink to color the leaves.  Pink and vanilla papers, rhinestone flourishes and some ribbon.  The photo isn't the greatest as it is late:)  Much prettier IRL!
Happy hopping!

DRS Designs Challenge #52-Religious

Happy Thursday to everyone! My card was made for the DRS Designs challenge blog #52....religious.  I used two new releases on this card and they are the Silent Night Greeting and the Small Nativity Scene. The other two stamps used are the Silent Night Sheet Music and Retro Starburst. I used a tan card base, white cardstock that I sponged up with distressed linen, blue, black and yellow.  The starburst was stamped and then covered with chunky yellow glitter. A brown mat was used with the image and the sheet music layer.  A small not quite navy ribbon tab....and done. Head over to DRS Designs blog to play.

Ho, Ho, Ho...Merry Christmas

My card this morning features the brand new Ho, Ho, Ho Greeting and our Santa with Reindeer from DRS Designs. I stamped the ho, ho, ho in red for the bg and the image was stamped in black and painted up with pearlescent watercolors.  The reindeer chest and antlers have sparkly fluff on them. A pewter gift embellie was put down in the corner, some fun Christmas ribbon and it's complete.
I hope your weekend is relaxing!

CTD220....tempting turquoise, cherry cobbler, lucky limeade

My friend Kim encouraged me to play in the color throw down challenge blog's (CTD220) colors for this week.  Tempting turquoise, lucky limeade (substituted pear pizzazz...LL is the one color I don't own) and cherry cobbler.  I had to use extra large photo so that you could see the musical score on the poinsettia.  I used MFPaHC Poinsettia Blooms and Just a note to create my card.  I heated the seam binding up but it looks better IRL.

Have a great weekend!

DRS Thursday Challenge 51-Snow Fun

Okay, so my snow doesn't show up very well!  I am lucky that I am able to post this though! So this is going to be quick!  I stamped my sweet reindeer, colored, smooched his nose and collar, sparkly fluff on his tail and antlers. Next, using post it notes I masked for some snow drifts and sponged some black on to define them.  Stamped the sentiment in black and sprayed the entire thing with white shimmery smooch spray. Head on over to DRS Designs blog and play and you just might win!

Today I showcased my amaryllis with Annalee dp from Prima, matted it with black and used a white card base.  The pot was watercolored with pearlescent watercolors and the amaryllis was colored with gumball green, pirouette pink and with a blender pen, I highlighted with melon mambo.  The sentiment was stamped in black.  some lace, embroidery thread, a pearl brad and 5 rhinestones and we'll call it good!  Inside, the sentiment reads, "You make the day sparkle".  Love it!

Can you believe it is Christmas time again???  I have felt deprived from my stamping room, so sitting down to create this gave me great joy.  It was quick and I am super happy how it turned out. I stamped the image in noir black, masked the sun, swiped on concord crush with a kleenex, swiped on baja breeze for the water and then using a glue pen, added some dots of glue here and there on the buildings and used glitter....so happy how it photographed....I think it looks like lights on the buildings.  I used so saffron to color in the moon. Have a great day and head over to MFPaHC and check out all the goodies!

I Love You Bubble Wrap

Today I made this card for TTSTV #23 by Debbie Moran today.  Our tutorial is bubble wrap.  I was quite surprised to find that I owned all the materials to make a card.  I don't have a lot of acrylic paint but was happy with how this came out.  I used the following colors of paints in this order; terra cotta, modern red and painterly pink followed by white on the bubble wrapped brayer.  Next I stamped my images from MFP's a HC set Love Remains and painted in the leaves with lettuce...lastly, I touched the leaves some with modern red.  I ended up doing the sentiment panel the say way minus the bubble wrap and it is up on dimensionals.  A little ribbon tab and 3 rhinestones.  Give this tutorial a try.  It yields some really lovely results.  Thanks to Debbie for bringing it to us! Head on over to MFPspeedyTV and click on tutorial time.  Happy creating!

Take care,

Pam

DRS Designs Thursday Challenge Candles

I had fun with this!!!!  When I saw candles was the challenge, this is immediately what I thought of.  Stamping on candles....so I did!
I used Thanksgiving Blessings 637E from DRS Designs.  I had inked the stamp.  It is actually a trio and I only wanted two.  Ink used:  more mustard, old olive, light gray, ridinghood red, peach pizazz, yellow.
Easy peasy.  Stamp your image on tissue paper, color, place on your candle where you want it and cover tightly with wax paper...then using your heat gun, set it....so cool.  Making some gift baskets.
Come on over to DRS Designs blog to play along and win!!!

TTSTV challenge 22-Tri-shutter fold card

My card today was made for TTSTV's 22nd challenge which can be found here.  The tri-shutter fold tutorial by Lois Bak.  Lois is the Queen of these fancy folds....me, not so much.  I actually think it turned out super cute in the photo, but I had serious issues in cutting correctly:)  Practice..that's what I need!
I used MFP's a HC Christmas Selections and Holly Jolly greetings.  Head on over to Speedytv to play!

TTSTV #21-Faux brick

My card today is for TTSTV #21 over on MFPspeedytv.  Pat Garvin brought us the faux brick technique.  I  have never tried this and I do love how it works...the next time though, I'd ink up the brick some more.  I used frayed burlap and aged mahogany, gold domes and champagne shimmer paint with the new Poinsettia Blooms stamp set.  Head on over to Speedy TV and check it out, play and you might win a new stamp set. Below is the stamp set you could win.

I know....I was surprised, too!  I wanted to use this ribbon from MFP's a HC so I googled poinsettia images.  Low and behold.  I found one this color.  I didn't read about it.  My eye is still messed up.  I have meds for it but it is a bugger for sure.  I used pearlescent watercolors, a bit of dimensional gold paint and some gold domes.  The EF doesn't show up on here but is beautiful.  Time to close the eyes!

A Cauldron Halloween

Good Saturday!  I am definitely in a Halloween mood and had fun making this card!  I love our festive Halloweeen stamps at DRS Designs...check them out!
For this card I used the new releases: tree limb, the Burning Cauldron and the vertical Happy Halloween.  I stamped the images in versamark and embossed in black.  I took so many photos to try to show the glitter in the cauldron and the black glitter on the steam....not so much!  I masked the moon and sponged the bg.
Head on over the the online store for some fun stuff.

Speedy TV TTSTV Challenge 20-Embossing Pop Can

Our 20th TTSTV challenge is embossing on a pop can-brought to us by Tammylee.  It can be found here. I used MFP's a HC set Autumn Splendor.  I am dieting so I am not drinking ANY soda....I had to dump one out to do this:)  I cut the top off, cut down the sides and then around the bottom.  I don't own a die cut machine so I cut it into a square, stamped my owl with versamark, embossed in copper and then rounded the corners with scissors.  The aluminum is on dimensionals.  I stamped the leaves and using ink and an aqua painter, painted them. Button, twine and a banner sentiment finish it off.

DRS Designs Thursday Challenge #47-cats

Happy Thursday!  I made this card for our challenge over at DRS Designs and today it is "cats".  I had fun with this card.  Stamped everything in black and used the following stamps; Cat Spider Square, Vertical Happy Halloween, Polka Dot BG and the large original plaid. I used some coordinating satin ribbon and then added some embroidery thread.  A ticket corner punch was used on the purple layer and though you can't see it well, I have a bit of stickles on the cat's hat and the middle of the spider web.
Head on over to DRS Designs Blog and play along
Take care,

DRS Designs Spooky Halloween

I made another card for Halloween...though I didn't use any new releases on this card, DRS Designs has some awesome stamps for you.  On this card I used spooky halloween greetingspooky eyes background and argyle background. I decided to add a little more fun to the "o's" in Spooooky and made some eyes using a hole punch and then drew in the pupils. The sentiment and spooky eyes layer are on dimensionals.  The ribbon and googly eye finish it off.

TTSTV-Waterfall card

I had a lot of fun doing this tutorial over at TTSTV by Jane Chambers...a waterfall card.  My brain had difficulty comprehending how to put it together initially.  But am happy with the result and it got a 2 thumbs up from my daughter!  Head on over to Speedy TV to play and maybe you can win this week!

DRS Designs Challenge 46-Witches

Happy Day!!!!  I hope everyone is well and still able to enjoy some beautiful fall colors.  I had a ton of tun making this card and I have some seriously inky fingers!  I used some new DRS Designs stamps: Run in Fear Halloween greeting, tree limb and (the not new) Silhouette haunted house.  I stamped the house in black twice and cute the moon out the second time and colored it with more mustard.  I then stamped the moon part again and painstakingly cut out the witch.  So...the main image is on dimension as well as the moon and then the witch on top of that.  I used a sponge for the sky with gray, perfect plum and concord crush.  I had a giant rhinestone brad in the top right corner but it is hard to see.
Head on over there and play with some of your witches for a chance to win!
Pam

DRS Challenge #45-Fall Leaves

I am sure I have said it already, but fall is my FAVORITE time of year!  I randomly stamped the fall leaf with acorn on white and brayered red, orange and yellow.  Next, I put more colors on the leaves with aqua painter and ink.  The acorns were done with pearlescent watercolors.  Head on over to DRS Designs to play.

This set is so fun.  I decided to use My Mind's Eye Bluebell dp with this set.  The card base is starfruit.  I punched the inchies and then used a 1 1/4" square punch to layer with.  I stamped, colored and fussy cut the bird and he's on a dimensional. The ribbon matches perfectly...but in this photo, it doesn't look like it!

I made this card for Tutorial Time on Speedy TV challenge #17. Our fabulous  design team member Kathy Bradley has brought us the flap card.  I really enjoyed doing this.  I used dusty durango as my card base and some Martha Stewart dp and white and black cardstock. Instead of a magnet (because I didn't have any), I used a button...Now that I look at the photo, it's hard to see.  Head on over to MFP's Speedy TV to play along.
My last card here was made to showcase the mini set available right now called Vroom.  My little witchy slides back and forth.
Thanks for checking everything out!
