DRS Designs Thursday Challenge-Get Well

My card today is for DRS Designs Blog Thursday Challenge and this week it is Get Well Cards.  I had fun coloring this Daisy Basket
in pretty in pink, yoyo yellow and crumb cake.  The Happy Bee was done in going gray and yoyo yellow and then painted over with a pale yellow pearlescent water color. The sentiment was stamped in black and both the main image and sentiment were dragged through a pale pink ink pad.  Some ribbon for interest and the lattice ef and we'll call it a day!
Take care!

Is it really Monday ALL DAY?  It has been days since I've been able to sit in my craft room and get some inky fingers.  I decided today was the day!  I made this card for Card Crafter's Circle Challenge #19 which can be found here.  "In stitches" is the theme.  I do NOT sew at all...maybe a button here or there.  This is my sad attempt at faux sewing!
I used BG capella paper.  I think it goes fabulously with MFP's a Heinrich Co.'s new set Hey Cowboy!
Ink: black, close to cocoa, going gray, sage shadow
Paper: BG capella dp, close to cocoa, white linen, kraft
accessories: twine, brads, sponge

This has been a terrific hop and my card today is so appropriate for me....I sometimes get cards in the mail late.  Best intentions!  I used the masking tape technique on glossy paper to make the bg with sage shadow and brilliant blue.  It was fun!  Shades of brown and gray were used to color up the train.  Twine and a big silver brad help to complete it!
Best of luck on the hop and head over to Debbie's blog next.

I made this card for yesterday's sketch challenge on SCS. I liked it so well, I thought I'd do my blog hop card in a similar fashion!  I used a piece of grunge board and painted on liquid pearls.
Have fun on the hop and head over to Debbie's blog next!

My first card today, I let the dp from My Minds Eye called Dilly Dally do all the work.  I stamped the butterfly in black and colored in with daffodil delight and baja breeze and then painted with champagne shimmer.  Cut it out and put on a dimensional.  Some crushed curry ribbon to finish it off.

This card was featured on MFP's Speedy TV where I did a tutorial for faux linen.  You can check it out here.

My last card was made yesterday for SCS's CC371.  Basic gray, sahara sand and white.  I cheated and added barely banana and pumpkin pie.  I did the cracked glass technique on it.
Head on over to Debbie's blog next and best of luck in the hop!

My card for the first day of the hop uses BG Sugar Rush dp.  I tried to color up my pooch to look like my Shih-tzu Nike  that TRULY DOES think I'm fabulous!  I stamped it in noir black and colored in with going gray.  Cherry cobbler put on his tongue with a blender pen. Have a great time in the hop and head on over to Debbie's blog next.
Take care,
Pam

DRS Thursday Challenge...gift card holder

Good morning and Happy Thursday!  My card today was made for the DRS Designs Thursday challenge over on their blog.  Today we're making gift card holders.  I used my MS scoring tool to make this envie which fits quite nicely on the 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" card.  Their awesome silhouette branch was used for the bg on the envie and the bird on branch was stamped in not quite navy and then punched out withthe 1 1/4" circle punch.  I punched the same size circle into the flap of the envie and then attached the bird with a dimensional so it makes the envie stay closed.  The sentiment, A Gift Card for You!  is a sneak and will soon be released.
Have a great day and good luck!

Happy Birthday with a cherry on top

I made my card for DRS Designs Blog Thursday Challenge.  Today it is all about food.  I have lots of birthdays coming up and thought it would be a good idea to tackle some birthday cards.  I used their cute cherry top cupcake and their vertical happy birthday greeting.  I cut the sentiment in two to make it fit my card and then added some copper brads for fun.  I colored the cupcake with blushing bride, crumb cake (and added champagne shimmer paint to frosting) and the cherry was colored with a blender ben and poppy parade and then crystal effects was added (which isn't visible in photo:().   Ad edge punch on the crumbcake and blushing bride layer and some pretty ribbon finish it off.
Come on over to DRS Designs and play....you have a chance at winning some great stamps!
Take care,
Pam
