Flowers for the DRS Designs Thursday Challenge

Good morning!  The challenge over at DRS Designs Blog today is to use flowers on your creation.  I stamped this pretty Daisy Basket in noir black and used yellow smooch paint to color.  Their centers are green glitter.  The basket was colored in with crumb cake.  A fun embossing folder and some pretty ribbon and we'll call it good!  Head on over to DRS Designs blog to play along and maybe you'll win something fun!

This was made for me! I am going to Hawaii soon and will be living the beach life for a time:)  I need the vacation.  I sponged the ground, sky and water and colored in the lighthouse and little house.  Head over to Debbie's blog next.

I had such a good time making this card.....love these papers from Bo Bunny the Gabrielle collection....not sure what dp the orange flowers are from.  The flowers were stamped, cut out and paper pieced.  The brand and banner came together and I stamped the sentiment on that.  A stick pin and a couple long beads (which are hard to see).
Head over to Debbie's blog next!
Have a good time at the hop!

Poppies with lots of love

Speedy Fox and friends challenge 112....VINTAGE.  This is definitely one of my favorite ways to make a card.  It helps to cover imperfections:)  I am sneaking the set Welcome Poppies which will be released next week...just a couple of days!  I used pear pizzazz on the leaves and pearlescent water colors on the poppies.  The baja breeze was applied with a scrunged up kleenx in a circuluar motion.  Edges sponged in back and all layers distressed. Dp, I believe is Websters Pages.  A vintage brad, lace and twine and a corner turned up on the image to help complete my vintage creation.
I hope you all have a great day!

TTSTV#3 by Lois Bak

Happy Friday!!!!  Head on over to MFPspeedytv to check out Tutorial time this week.  It was done by our wonderful designer Lois Bak.  Quite cool.  I was unable to find my brick wall stamp, so I used a photo that I printed off of the internet.  I used the stamp sets Scenic Selections and Train Talk.  Such a cool technique! the train tracks...I just realized are retired. I masked for the dirt and railroad and sponged in antique linen.  Garden green for the trees and the rocks were stamped in black and some antique linen was sponged in.  River rock, white and tan card stock and unknown brand of dp's.  A button and some twine finish it off.
Take care and check it out!

DRS Designs Thursday challenge-heavy metal

Our challenge over at DRS Designs Blog this week is "heavy metal".  I had fun with this and am using a sneak peek of the peacock feathers...LOVE this stamp.  I painted them with pearlescent watercolors and cut them out and then sponged brilliant blue around them...they are popped up on dimensionals.  I used the negative side of an ef and stamped the girl swirl stamp in brilliant blue (which looked black)...so I painted turquoise smooch paint directly on stamp and stamped it.  The sentiment is part of  the greeting "Great friends drink alike"....Used the old SU! hodgepodge hardware, some ribbon and we're done!
Head on over to DRS Designs Blog and play along.
