Growing in Unity Day 4

Welcome and thanks for visiting me on day 4 of my GIU week! Unity rocks! For today's post I sat down with an 8 x 10 canvas and Primrose DCWV designer paper. I really wanted to do some mixed media. I started ripping and making a plan. I put the papers down with mod podge..underneath and on top them. Next, I took some pale rose acrylic paint and painted the sides as well as covered up the ripped portions of paper. I stamped the flower from You are Important and embossed in black. Difficult to see in the photo, but I have a few clusters of beads-one by the flower and two by the flourish. The flourish and arrow are chipboard from Tim Holtz that I covered with distress olive embossing powder. The bird (she did it anyway)was stamped on DCWV, too and cut out and mod podged on. The sentiment was stamped and put onto dimensionals and then covered with mod podge. I used a cluster bouquet of flowers. I also added a touch of lace and a pearl brad. Kind of a wild one today, but I choose to be happy with it !!! :)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.
Don't forget that two people have a chance to win 25 random Unity stamps for commenting on my blog every day this week!

    Hey Pam!

I was just checking out the Unity Stamp Company blog for Christmas card ideas and I stumbled across your post there so hopped on over to your blog for some inspiration. I'm on my way home from work to a quiet house where I'll be loading up some Christmas tunes and stamping my little heart out! Your card from today with the happiness saying really jumped at me. Recently I started a happiness blog and the fact that you can choose to be happy is a major theme! You also inspired me to take a saying and beautify it like you have here and then put it into a frame for a nice personalized Christmas gift for a couple of good friends. Thanks for all the great ideas!! Love your card!
