A Christmas challenge with a friend

Who knew I would be posting a card within a week of my last blog post? I was feeling down in the dumps and my girlfriend, MariLynn encouraged me to craft with her today!
Here requirements to craft today were as follows; a toilet paper roll, the Darice music embossing folder she sent me, gold or silver, glitter and make it a Christmas theme.
It was so incredibly wonderful to be able to have a goal and a friend to craft with. A big thank you with a hug goes out to MariLynn. I will be including a link to her post when it's live.
I used Winter Blessings from Unity Stamp CO. I started out by spritzing water on my flattened and cut toilet paper roll. Next, I embossed it with the music ef. I distressed the edges and set about applying Inka gold in gold with my finger. The pine bough was stamped with green envy and the pine cone in chocolate chip and then I used iridescent ice embossing powder (a blast from the past). I then added some burlap, stamped a tag which I used the inka gold on as well, some gold organza ribbon that I distressed by heating and some gold brads.
MariLynn, thank you for making my day brighter. She even sang a bit to me! Beautifully, I might add!

Have a lovely evening wherever you are!

Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop

I am participating in the Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers blog hop which can be found here and there are some amazing sponsors and prizes to be won!

I am embarrassed to say that I haven't utilized my blog in a loooooonnnnnng time. I am going to make it my mission over the next month to update and rejuvenate!
My card was made using Graciellie Designs Cozy Layers Mode from Unity stamps. I stamped the mug on dp in versamark and embossed in black. Next, I fussy cut it out. Same for the cinnamon sticks, too. Another sheet of dp for the background and then layered with a sheet of gold card stock. My snowflake is a very old felt embellishment from SU! that I put versamark on and then gold glittery embossing powder. It is an unusually dark and dreary day here in Colorado and I struggled getting a decent photo. MariLynn reminded me how to do the easel fold so that I could showcase my sentiment.

Happy Hopping!

December 2017 GIU gals blog hop

Oh, oh! I am coming a bit late to the hop party. I don't know why I had it in my brain that it started Monday! Oops.
I used my KOM from Aug 2017 that I got for participating as a GIU gal.~Never by afraid and KOM Dec 2013 Happy love day.
The first card I added a sweet silver charm with black baker's twine and a leaf folder from Sizzix. On the second card, I kept it pretty simple.
I hope you all enjoy the hop and please forgive me for being late!
I am the last person in the list! Make sure to comment on all of our blogs!!
