Crafting by Designs~Silhouettes with Sparkle N Sprinkle

Good day and can you believe the month of February is nearing an end?
Our challenge at Crafting by Designs this week is silhouettes and is being sponsored by Sparkle N Sprinkle. When I saw this cow silhouette in a set called Farm Fresh Cows, I immediately knew I had to create with it.
I printed the image on white card stock and sponged pool party for the sky and some old olive for the ground. I took my very old corner rounding scissors and just rounded the top corners and matted with black. The bottom was done with a fun edge punch. Lately, I have been obsessed with this embossing folder from Cuttlebug, called Heather's Lace and I used it here. Added some organza ribbon and heated it to distress it a bit. My sentiment is from Unity.

Crafting by Designs Challenge~Inspired by a Movie

Good day!
When we were given our challenge theme for this week, I was excited to see the images we could choose from our sponsor, Ike's Art. Awesome and fun artistic images and I was so excited to see this Raven background paper.
Can anybody guess what movie that inspired my creation?
If you guessed, The Birds, you would be correct! Even as a young teen, I loved scary movies. The Birds was directed/produced by Alfred Hitchcock in 1963. I was surprised to see this as I thought I saw it as a new movie. But, alas, I was an infant when it first came out!
The image was printed out and then I took my marina mist ink pad and dragged it across the paper and then the edges of image. The sentiment from Unity was done the say way. I chose this particular sentiment as the ravens do make their own music! Three glittery brads were added to complete this creation and the image and sentiment were matted on black and placed on a white card base.
Play along for your chance to win!

Crafting by designs challenge~Love with All Dressed Up Stamps

Happy Hump Day to everyone out in cyberland! Our challenge this week is all about LOVE and our sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps. They have fabulous digi images and I used Just Married. I printed my image out and fussy cut. Next, I pulled out my colored pencils and Gamsol, which haven't seen love in a long, long time. Once finished, I went over the turquoise portion with opalescent shimmer paint and it does NOT show in the photo. The dp was embossed with the tulip folder and I added some sequins to tie it all together. Lastly, it was layered on black and a white card base. Head on over to our Crafting by Designs blog to play and have a chance at winning!

Crafting by Designs~Anything Goes

Our challenge for this week is Anything Goes and our wonderful sponsor is Imagine That Digi Stamps. My image and sentiment are called Lazy Sloth
Is this not the most darling image? What is it about sloths that has everyone in such a frenzy? I colored him with colored pencils and gambol and the background was sponged on the image and sentiment with a crumpled tissue and pool party ink. I have some whacky colored flowers but decided that is how it is in nature! The banner strips were done by dragging the wisteria wonder ink pad across the paper and then cut them out. The notch was done with a square punch. My little pink flower was a miscellaneous wanderer on my desk. The green with envy background was dry embossed. Matted on black and a white card base.
Have a great day and check out their fun store.
